What's included

  • Affirming primary care: checkups, prevention, sick visits and chronic conditions

  • PrEP to prevent HIV, with the lab monitoring it needs

  • STI testing and treatment, including throat and rectal testing when appropriate

  • Sexual health conversations without judgment or assumptions

  • Mental health care for everyday anxiety and depression

  • Monitoring and continuing gender-affirming hormone therapy that you started with another clinician

  • Tell us the name and pronouns you use, and we'll use them

We don't currently start gender-affirming hormone therapy. If you're already on it, we can monitor and continue it and coordinate with your prescribing clinician.

PrEP: simple, effective HIV prevention

PrEP is a medicine that greatly lowers the chance of getting HIV. The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force gives PrEP its highest rating, an "A," for people at increased risk of HIV. As a member, you can start PrEP after a visit and labs, then keep up with the regular testing it requires without a copay for each visit.

STI testing on a schedule that fits your life

The CDC suggests that gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men get tested for syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhea at least once a year, and every 3 to 6 months with multiple or anonymous partners. HIV testing at least yearly is also recommended. We'll set a testing schedule that fits you, whoever you are and whoever you love.

Why a direct primary care doctor

You see the same doctor every time, so you don't have to come out or re-explain your history to someone new. Visits are unhurried, usually 30 to 45 minutes, and you can message Dr. Aliganga directly between visits. Your health information is kept private and protected.
